Meet Tanica

A poet’s voice.
A practitioner’s care.
A human connection.

I’m Tanica Psalmist, a spoken-word artist and creative wellbeing practitioner based in London.

Creativity meets wellbeing

Different ways
to feel heard.

I bring spoken word, creative writing and mindfulness together. My work creates space for people to express themselves, explore their experiences and connect with others.

My background in mental health and wellbeing, including work in the NHS, informs how I approach creative sessions. I draw on CBT-informed and trauma-informed practice, alongside the possibilities of poetry.

I also write about poetry, dance and live performance for Get The Chance. Being in the audience, being on stage, and bringing people together through writing are different threads of my creative practice.

What matters to me

Connection is
at the centre.

01

Expression

Room for your own words, experiences and way of seeing the world.

02

Belonging

Work that centres marginalised communities, care leavers and people whose voices are too often overlooked.

03

Possibility

Creative ways to reflect on confidence, connection, worry and everyday wellbeing.

For people. For communities.

More space to express.
More room to belong.

I welcome conversations with individuals, charities, community groups and organisations about how creativity can support their people.

Let’s connect

Come as you are

Let’s find the
words together.

A moment for your words

Start where
you are.

Choose a prompt. Write a few lines. They don’t have to be beautiful. They just have to be yours.
